Govetts Leap

We are fundraising for Australian wildlife relief, and a percentage of sales from this series of photos will be donated to Australian Wildlife Rescue OrganizationWIRES. This photograph of Govetts Leap in Blackheath, Australia was taken by Deaf Australian photographer David Wimble, and he chose WIRES for us to donate to. We’re excited to help support a good cause!

David says, “I am an Australian landscape photographer currently residing in the Blue Mountains. I was born Deaf and grew up in Sydney. I started a photography course in 1996 and studied at Tafe for 3 years Darkroom, studio and photography with old camera medium format and 35mm SLR camera. I applied for work as a photographer and went for many interviews but was not successful in getting a job as good communication was important for many of the jobs. So I gave up photography and concentrated on my landscaping career. Then 20 years later …. I joined Instagram in 2014 and that made me want to take photos again ! I thought that I should take a 2nd chance! So I grabbed my old camera, Canon 550D, to take my first shot of a Sunset at Tangalooma island resort and ever since, I’ve been hooked!”
